In a moment that shook our lives to the core, the devastating earthquake of May 12, 2008, struck Wenchuan, Sichuan, China. Lives were lost, families torn apart, and the region left in ruins. Among those who felt the earth tremble beneath their feet was me, living in Mianyang City, just over 30 kilometers away from the epicenter.

For about 120 seconds, the world seemed to stand still as we experienced the unimaginable. The government called upon the youth with a sense of purpose to volunteer and aid in the relief efforts in Beichuan County. Driven by a deep desire to make a difference, I joined the ranks of those who wanted to help rebuild our homeland.

United as one nation, with the support of our global community, we faced the daunting challenge ahead. Together, we embarked on a journey of rebuilding and restoring hope. The spirit of resilience and determination prevailed, and we witnessed the extraordinary power of unity.

As the scars of the disaster slowly healed, the focus turned to reconstruction efforts. Infrastructures were restored, roads were rebuilt, and homes were constructed anew. In this time of rebuilding, I saw an opportunity to contribute in my own way - combining my study major and passion, we founded a company in 2009.
